Nexus Cast and Crew Network CIC
Since 2014, we have been facilitating industry panels, networking events, showcases and talent development opportunities for Midlands-based freelancers and artists pursuing careers in Film, TV, Theatre & Radio, with a prime focus on increasing accessibility to the arts.
We have approximately 2,000 members in our community who regularly attend our events and engage with us online, and we are extremely proud of all the successful projects, careers and regional activity that we have nurtured and supported.
In 2022, we became a CIC and are now seeking funds and sponsorship to implement a new strategy for a more hands-on programme catering to a wider variety of needs, with increased outreach and support on offer. We encourage companies and organisations to please reach out if you’d like to discuss possible collaborations and opportunities.
26+ Mentorship Programme
This opportunity is open for people 26+ based in the Midlands that are facing a specific barrier that is stopping them from advancing in a definitive part of their career. People in any role/department within the industry are welcome to apply.

East vs West Midlands Showcase is Back!
After the success of our first East vs West Midlands Showcase in 2023, we are delighted to announce that we’ll be hosting our second edition on 4th May 2024.
Once again, we will be screening a selection of short films, half of which will represent the East Midlands with the other half representing the West.
This is a friendly, supportive (and slightly competitive!) event bringing both of the UK’s Midlands regions together
The event will take place at Derby QUAD 2pm – 6pm on 4 May 2024, and will include our film screening followed by our awards presentation and networking.
